About the Dentists:
Michael S. Bell DMDDr. Michael Bell was born in Portland, Oregon and attended Franklin High School. Shortly after
graduation he was drafted during the Viet Nam War and served two years for the military. Upon
completion and receiving his honorable discharge, he went back to school to receive his Bachelor
of Science Degrees in both Chemistry and Biology at Portland State University. His Doctorate of
Medical Dental Science was received from the OHSU's School of Dentistry in Portland. Dr. Bell
worked for a number of years for the Indian Health Service, where he was awarded an
opportunity to receive a two year Advanced General Practice Residency working with the
Cherokee Indians at the W.W. Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. His six years of
dedication to the American Indians and their oral health needs, provided him the opportunity to
touch the hearts of many in the tribes and reservations around the United States. Dr. Bell
returned to his native Portland area where he has served patients in his practice for the past
twenty plus years.
Away from his practice, Dr Bell enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. Being an
avid outdoors enthusiast, the winter months are wrapped with ski trips throughout the Northwest
and Canada .. Summer and Fall are largely devoted to fishing, hunting and camping. When not
involved in family activities, he continues his pursuit of dentistry and local study clubs.
Lisa A. Snider DMDDr. Lisa A. Snider was born and raised in Portland, OR. She attended David Douglas High School and then spent two years at Portland State University. She continued another year at OHSU School of Dentistry finishing a bachelors of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. After graduating from OHSU she was employed full time by OHSU for 1 year of work as a dental hygienist in the Dental Clinic at the North Hospital, treating medically compromised dental patients. She then continued her education in the field of dentistry receiving her DMD degree from OHSU school of dentistry in 1985. After graduating she started private practice in the Gresham Rockwood area of Portland, OR and has served that community for 25 years.
